Lost Connections #3

The Lost Connections Chapters 14-20 in my opinion, talks about how there are different ways of curing depression in an imaginative way. It also talks about how sometimes as a community, we need to see each other as a family regardless of what race you are or what ethnicity you are. We all go through the same thing in different ways, shapes, and forms. One of the quotes that caught my attention was, “We all learned a lot-I can see something through the eyes of another person and that’s a newmeaning…we are like a family.”(pg.182) That quote made me feel happy and sort of relieved. I felt happy reading that section because in my judgement, we are all the same race, which is human, so we should all treat each other equally instead of treating each other like an outsider.

I also felt relieved reading this because of how some people like myself reading this would try to make the world a better place. Like in some of the communities I have been in, we treat each other like we are family. No fighting, no using derogatory comments, and treat others with respect. If that can spread world wide, they society can be somewhat of a better place. I chose this for my golden line because of how we as humans should be looking at each other in a way where we say, “You feel what I feel.”
